Property Projects That Will Make Your Shrine Shine

Home improvement projects are a great way to increase the eye appeal of your property, and even to increase its value. But this doesn't mean that you have to invest in costly remodeling projects or new constructions. A simple paint job (using the right colors) and some landscaping projects are just a couple of effective ways to make your home shine. As a property manager, I understand first hand what it takes to set a home apart from the neighboring crowd – so I started this blog in hopes that I can inspire others to plan their own fun projects in and around their homes. Let this site be your guide to a new and improved palace!

Three Ways To Beautify Your Home With Stone

Natural stone is one of the most beautiful objects you can use in and around your home. It is also one of the most versatile types of materials that you can use. There are multiple different ways you can incorporate stone into your home design.  Below is a list of three different applications for stone. There will be ones that fit each price point and also indoor as well as outdoor applications.

Decorative Granite Tile for Inside Your Home

If you are ready to remodel your kitchen, then you might want to consider using decorative granite tile. This tile is perfect for kitchens because it is water-resistant, unlike wood flooring, and it's also durable and will withstand shoes and high traffic.

You can select granite tiles in any number of colors and design patterns to match your kitchens aesthetic.  When buying tile, make sure to measure out the area in your kitchen so you know approximately how many tiles you need to buy. If you are unsure about how to do this, simply bring the measurements of your kitchen to the tile store and they will help you out.

Crushed Pea stone For Decorating the Edge of Your Garden

For outside the home you should consider using crushed pea stone. This is perfect for using along with gardens and pathways. Pea stone is smaller than the large gravel that is often used on driveways, so it makes a perfect item to use in more delicate landscaping practices.

Like other decorative stones, you have many different options when buying pea stone. You can choose highly polished, smooth pea stone or you can choose rough pea stone. Also, pea stone comes in a variety of color options. You can choose natural stone or dyed pea stone.

Luxury Polished Stone For A Kitchen Island Countertop

Finally, if you want something incredibly dramatic and impressive, consider buying a large piece of polished stone for your kitchen island countertop.  These are very dramatic and you will often times seem these in architectural magazines. They are ubiquitous in expensive modern interior home design.

While you might be able to locate tiles and pea stone at your local home improvement store, you will need to contact a modern stone supply outlet for large polished slabs. These businesses are fantastic in that they not only sell the raw stone product, but they will also be able to help you install the product in your home. If they do not have service techs in-house that will install the stone, they will certainly have a connection to a professional contractor.
