Property Projects That Will Make Your Shrine Shine

Home improvement projects are a great way to increase the eye appeal of your property, and even to increase its value. But this doesn't mean that you have to invest in costly remodeling projects or new constructions. A simple paint job (using the right colors) and some landscaping projects are just a couple of effective ways to make your home shine. As a property manager, I understand first hand what it takes to set a home apart from the neighboring crowd – so I started this blog in hopes that I can inspire others to plan their own fun projects in and around their homes. Let this site be your guide to a new and improved palace!

4 Different Garage Flooring Solutions

If you want to take your garage to the next level, you will want to install flooring in your garage. Using flooring in your garage will elevate the style and function of your garage. With garage flooring, you need a strong material that is resistant to stains and can withstand getting wet without getting damaged.

Flooring Solution #1: Polished Concrete

Most garages have concrete as the base flooring. You can take that concrete to the next level by polishing the concrete. Concrete is a solid flooring option as it is hard and strong. It can withstand being under a lot of pressure without sustaining any damage, something you need in a garage where you are parking vehicles and using other heavy equipment.

By staining the concrete, you make the concrete flooring in your garage stain-resistant and a lot easier to clean. Additionally, polished concrete will give your garage a much more polished look.

Flooring Solution #2: Epoxy Flooring

Another great choice is epoxy flooring. An epoxy coating can be added to the top of a concrete floor, and it can be added to the top of a stone floor as well. An epoxy coating is a great way to add different colors to your space. You can customize the colors to create a look that is special for you. Epoxy is commonly used in garages as it is a significant and long-lasting material.

Flooring Solution #3: Stone Flooring

Third, another option is to use stone flooring in your garage. Stone flooring in your garage is expensive, but it can really give your garage a classy look. If you use your garage as a space to hang out and do work, you may want a classier look.

Stone flooring is excellent in warmer climates throughout the year, as the flooring tends to stay cool. Stone flooring isn't the best in climates with really cold winters, as the stones tend to absorb those freezing temperatures and can make your garage cooler.

When it comes to stone flooring, flagstone, sandstone, and graphite are three excellent stone options since they are strong and easy to clean.

Flooring Solution #4: Vinyl Flooring

Another option for your garage is vinyl flooring. With vinyl flooring, you will want to use urethane-coated vinyl, as it is very strong. With tiles, you can choose from a wide range of different colors and designs. Even better, vinyl is a really affordable flooring option and is excellent if you want to change the flooring in your garage but don't have a lot of money to spend.

Vinyl flooring works best for garages that don't get a lot of traffic or usage.

When it comes to your garage, changing the flooring can change the whole look of the place. Polished concrete has a very industrial look to it and is easy to take care of. The epoxy allows for fun color customizations. Stone flooring is great if you want a classy-looking space, and vinyl flooring is another affordable and fun option.
